Stratford
Stratford, Ontario, centrally located between Toronto and both Michigan/Ontario border crossing points, is home of The Stratford Festival--an internationally renowned theatre festival running from mid-May to the first week of November and which features exhilarating and sensational productions of Shakespeare and his contemporaries, major 19th and 20th century dramas, musicals, as well as Canadian works.
A great place to get away from it all, see some great plays, shop, antique hunt, and dine in some of Ontario's finest restaurants. While it is typical of a small town in many ways, Stratford provides, especially during the festival season, a gay-friendly and open atmosphere where the gay traveller is able relax and feel right at home.
