Welcome to the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Yukon website. We are an LGBT organization based in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. We have been serving the Yukon as a not for profit organization since 1992. Our purpose is: To establish and maintain a social, recreational, educational and political outlet for the gay and lesbian, bisexual and transgender, multicultural community. To act as a core group for various LGBT communities. To provide emotional support to LGBT people, including queer youth. To provide access to information concerning LGBT issues. To support or challenge individuals/groups regarding LGBT issues. To support other individuals/groups in their struggle for human rights. To foster knowledge of the status and rights of Yukon LGBT people, and to work towards expanding the legal recognition of those rights. To network with local AIDS organizations, provide AIDS information and support members that are HIV positive or have developed AIDS.  To network with other LGBT organizations, nationally and internationally.
