Business Networking Mix and Mingle
Guest speakers:  Jemma Fong & Wen Tang are WRIB's web mistresses and are responsible for our beautifully revised web site.
Jemma entered the digital world in 1994 and is now considered an expert in the area of web design/development, online business development and marketing strategy. In her various roles as graphic artist, business planner, marketer and innovative educator, she has established web sites for many non-profit organizations, small to mid-sized businesses and community associations.
Between 2000 and 2003, as part of the Bizlink web team at Rogers Media Publishing Ltd, Jemma enhanced her web experience by creating and managing 24 major industry and business publication web sites. During this time she demonstrated leadership and organizational skills that greatly contributed to the department's revenue and growth. Wen was a former web production supervisor with Chatelaine.com and trained architect from China.
Jemma and Wen's company, InSite Creations, allows her to focus on the small to mid-sized business sector, helping them to explore new marketing and online business solutions. Working in consultation with her clients, Jemma controls the entire development process, from business strategic planning to technological implementation. Her goal is to continue to successfully build her own business through growing her client portfolio by providing them with the highest quality web business service
Tonight's topic: Find out ways to bring your business/organization to the web. Learn a 3-step process that will save time and money when developing your site. Explore these with Jemma and Wen, and find out how you can apply these strategies to your own business. |

Saturday at the Movies
| Second Saturday of each month. Join the gang for the pick of the month. This event is open to everyone, and your only cost is the price of the movie and, of course, your refreshments. Send us an email to have your name placed on the notifications list, and please, make sure you include a contact phone number, in case we need to advise you of last-minute changes in plans. On Saturday November 13 2004, we will see Bridget Jones: The Edge of
Reason starring Renie Zellweger. It is showing at the Varisty Theater
(Varsity Cinemas, 55 Bloor St. W., Manulife Centre at the corner of Bay and
Bloor, (416) 961-6303). It is showing 6:50 p.m. We will meet around 6:15
at the main entrance of the theater.
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason
Six weeks after the events in Bridget Jones's Diary, erstwhile London
singleton Bridget Jones (Renie Zellweger) is still happily dating
human-rights lawyer Mark Darcy (Colin Firth). But eventually she starts to
notice his flaws and begins wondering if he isn't interested in his new
co-worker (Jacinda Barrett). Bridget's love life is further complicated when
her former boss and flame Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) arrives on the
scene, having landed a job at Bridget's TV station.
